Strategy and Measurement for Prevention and Control of Hypertension in Canada

Sun Dianjun,Zhao Yashuang,Zhang Wei,Lv Yanjie,Tian Ye,Zhang Yong,Gao Yanhui,Li Xia,Fu Jinming and Yang Baofeng

Strategic Study of CAE 2017, Volume 19, Issue 2,   Pages 117-121 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2017.02.020

Abstract:

Hypertension is a public health issue around the world. At present, Canada is one of the few countries that have achieved remarkable success in the prevention and control of hypertension. Canada has accumulated a considerable amount of advanced experience in the control of hypertension and in the implementation of effective measures against it. This article introduces the prevalence of hypertension in Canada and the development of control strategies and measures against hypertension in Canada, including the Canadian Hypertension Society, the Canadian Hypertensive Education Program, public policies, community interventions, and healthcare systems. We summarize these advanced experiences in order to provide a policy-making basis for the development of hypertension prevention and control in China.

Shadow obstacle model for realistic corner-turning behavior in crowd simulation

Gao-qi HE,Yi JIN,Qi CHEN,Zhen LIU,Wen-hui YUE,Xing-jian LU

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2016, Volume 17, Issue 3,   Pages 200-211 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1500253

Abstract: This paper describes a novel model known as the shadow obstacle model to generate a realistic corner-turning behavior in crowd simulation. The motivation for this model comes from the observation that people tend to choose a safer route rather than a shorter one when turning a corner. To calculate a safer route, an optimization method is proposed to generate the corner-turning rule that maximizes the viewing range for the agents. By combining psychological and physical forces together, a full crowd simulation framework is established to provide a more realistic crowd simulation. We demonstrate that our model produces a more realistic corner-turning behavior by comparison with real data obtained from the experiments. Finally, we perform parameter analysis to show the believability of our model through a series of experiments.

Construction of Strategic Early-Warning System in Cyberspace

Zhuang Honglin, Yao Le, Wang Sheng, Gu Jiaxiang, Wu Ye, Xie Kai

Strategic Study of CAE 2021, Volume 23, Issue 2,   Pages 1-7 doi: 10.15302/J-SSCAE-2021.02.001

Abstract:

Cyberspace strategic early-warning is a monitoring and warning system that is established by a country or group for early detection, tracking, identification, and notification of incoming major cyber attacks or the spreading destruction of powerful viruses. It’s an important component of a national security defense system. The implementation of the national cyber development strategy in China requires high attentions to the construction of a cyberspace strategic early-warning system. This study analyzes the major characteristics and basic requirements of strategic early-warning in cyberspace, and studies four major warning styles: security vulnerabilities, security threats, intrusion attacks, and abnormal behaviors warning. It also emphasizes four key projects, namely cyberspace surveying and mapping system, vulnerability collection and early-warning platform, threat intelligence perception and push system, as well as security monitoring and comprehensive early-warning system, after summarizing the construction of strategic early-warning and monitoring systems in cyberspace in China and abroad. Furthermore, we propose several countermeasures and suggestions, including strengthening high-level coordination, focusing on multi-source data integration, establishing professional earlywarning agencies, conducting regular security assessments, and implementing threat and early-warning grading mechanisms.

Collaborative learning via social computing None

Ricardo S. ALONSO, Javier PRIETO, Óscar GARCÍA, Juan M. CORCHADO

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2019, Volume 20, Issue 2,   Pages 265-282 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.1700840

Abstract:

Educational innovation is a field that has been greatly enriched by using technology in its processes, resulting in a learning model where information comes from numerous sources and collaboration takes place among multiple students. One attractive challenge within educational innovation is the design of collaborative learning activities from the social computing point of view, where collaboration is not limited to student-to-student relationships, but includes student-to-machine interactions. At the same time, there is a great lack of tools that give support to the whole learning process and are not restricted to specific aspects of the educational task. In this paper, we present and evaluate context-aware framework for collaborative learning applications (CAFCLA) as a solution to these problems. CAFCLA is a flexible framework that covers the entire process of developing collaborative learning activities, taking advantage of contextual information and social interactions. Its application in the experimental case study of a collaborative WebQuest within a museum has shown that, among other benefits, the use of social computing improves the learning process, fosters collaboration, enhances relationships, and increases engagement.

A multipath routing algorithm for satellite networksbased on service demand and traffic awareness Research Article

Ziyang XING, Hui QI, Xiaoqiang DI, Jinyao LIU, Rui XU, Jing CHEN, Ligang CONG,dixiaoqiang@cust.edu.cn

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering 2023, Volume 24, Issue 6,   Pages 844-858 doi: 10.1631/FITEE.2200507

Abstract: With the reduction in manufacturing and launch costs of low Earth orbit satellites and the advantages of large coverage and high data transmission rates, satellites have become an important part of data transmission in air-ground networks. However, due to the factors such as geographical location and people’s living habits, the differences in user’ demand for multimedia data will result in unbalanced network traffic, which may lead to network congestion and affect data transmission. In addition, in traditional transmission, the convergence of network information acquisition is slow and global network information cannot be collected in a fine-grained manner, which is not conducive to calculating optimal routes. The service quality requirements cannot be satisfied when multiple service requests are made. Based on the above, in this paper artificial intelligence technology is applied to the , and a software-defined network is used to obtain the global network information, perceive network traffic, develop comprehensive decisions online through , and update the optimal routing strategy in real time. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has good convergence performance and strong generalizability. Compared with traditional routing, the throughput is 8% higher, and the proposed method has load balancing characteristics.
